The Newcomers Welcome Receptions are an excellent and informal way to become acquainted with other newcomers and with vestry members, clergy and staff. They are held periodically throughout the year.
Newcomer's Group
The St. James Newcomers Welcome Committee provides a personal connection to each visitor who indicates an interest in learning more about our church by filling out a visitor card.
After the service at the coffee hour a member of this committee meets our visitors with information about our church. If the visitor does not attend the coffee hour, the week after the visitor completes the card, a member of the committee pays a visit, bringing the gift bag. The member is then available as a resource and personal link to the church.
