Care Companions

 
The St. James Care Companions are a group who supplement the care the clergy give to those in our parish who would, due to various circumstances, benefit from extra attention. The Care Companions provide care to the bereaved, shut-in, those who are ill or hospitalized or undergoing difficult life changes.
This care comes in several different forms - the Companions visit, make phone calls, send cards and, of course, pray for those assigned to their care. Regular meetings are held so all Care Companions are informed and can cover in the event a Care Companion is out of town. This way there are several people at St. James, in addition to the clergy, who are concerned with their care. Care Companions answers Christ's call to love one another.

Care Companions meets the 1st Thursday of the month in the Annex at 6:00 PM.
