NEXT GENERATION NEPAL
Next generation Nepal is a small, non-profit that rescues children from traffickers who take them from rural mountain villages and exploit them as slaves or as part of the sex trade. NGN cares for approximately 50 boys and girls by providing a safe home with two-parent family, tutors, volunteer assistants and medical care because many of the children are very ill when they are found. The children, ranging in age from five to fourteen go to a village school every day and learn both Nepalese and English.
NGN also seeks to reunite children with their distant families, many of whom believe their children are dead. Because of desperate poverty, children are provided school tuition, a set of clothes and a monthly stipend to help feed the family. These families are closely monitored to ensure that the children continue to thrive.
