Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels is a program which provides nutritious meals to those who are homebound or unable to prepare a meal for themselves. Monday through Friday volunteers pack and deliver meals to more than 850 older adults in Volusia County.
St. James is participating the adopt-a-route program and is responsible for one route on Friday in Ormond Beach. Catch the excitement in this volunteer program and make a difference in the lives of many shut-ins. Participants work in teams and help is always welcome.
This ministry continues to thrive, thanks to the volunteers who helped deliver food each Friday to the shut-ins of our community. The school children made Halloween cards and Christmas placemat decorations to be delivered with the meals.
