MALI MEDICAL MISSION
We offer financial assistance to the work fund of Dr. Brett MacLean (pediatrician in Mali, Africa). Mali is in NW Africa and ranks among the world's seven poorest countries. One of every four children never reacher his/her fifth birthday. Maternal mortality is also very high. Through donations, a Christian hospital is now in Louiala, Mali. Without this hospital, patients in this area would have to travel 250 miles away for women's and children's care.
As all is done with donation, and as the hospital is only two years old, much is still needed. Contributions to this work fund will go to fund lab equipent, medical screenings, basic medical supplies, and nurses' training. Funds are also being raised to send a Malian to learn surgery in Gabon, Africa to become the hospital's general surgeon.
Brett and his wife Sheri (nurse practitioner) and their three small children live in Mali and are a wonderful witness to the love of Christ to those around them.
