Outreach Overview
The purpose of the Outreach Committee is based on Matthew 25:31-40 Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers you did it to me. We seek to serve our Lord in ways and places where we feel called. Outreach is all about loving, caring, and sharing the gifts and talents that God has given each of us with others within and outside our community. Community agencies are invited to make presentations at our meetings to inform us of their mission and current needs.
We need and welcome anyone who wishes to join us in this exciting mininstry. We meet the fourth Monday of each month in the annex building to discuss our current ministries and new ideas.
We currently support the following ministries but are open to new suggestions:
Habitat for Humanity
Meals on Wheels
Family Renew
Halifax Urban Ministries
Angel Tree
Pregnancy Crisis Center
Homeless Assistance Shelter
Mission to Ukraine
Crop Walk
New Generation Nepal
Jesus Clinic
Community agencies are invited to make presentations at our monthly meetings that are held the fourth Monday of each month at 6:00 in our Annex building.
The committee decides how we can best participate in meeting their needs either by financial contributions or volunteer assistance or both. Our enthusiastic and dedicated committee members are always exploring new opportunities to serve. We need and welcome anyone who wishes to join us in this exciting ministry. Creative minds and willing hearts are needed!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
A reminder that we feed the homeless the second Friday of each month and we are always looking for volunteers. HUM needs you! Right now we are in real need for volunteers so please consider this worthy ministry. Contact Marty Price, HUM Coordinator at 441-2727 for more information.
