Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels is a program which provides nutritious meals to those who are homebound or unable to prepare a meal for themselves. Monday through Friday volunteers pack and deliver meals to more than 850 older adults in Volusia County.

St. James is participating in the adopt-a-route program and is responsible for one route on Friday in Ormond Beach. Catch the excitement in this volunteer program and make a difference in the lives of many shut-ins. Participants work in teams for 1- 1 1/2 hours a month. We're always in need of drivers.

This ministry continues to thrive, thanks to the volunteers who help deliver food each Friday to the shut-ins of our community. The St. James School children make cards and placemat decorations to be delivered with the meals at holidays throughout the year.
