                                                                                                              GIFTS OF GRACE
                                                                                                              Alternative Gift Fair

If you are one who likes to get an early start on Christmas shopping, we want to remind you that on Sunday, December 4th, we will be hosting our third annual Gifts of Grace alternative Christmas fair.  For those of you who prefer to procrastinate, you'll be delighted to know about the fair since your shopping can successfully be put off until December 4th.  Our booths will open by 8:30 am and remain open after each of the morning services.

Once again, this is an opportunity to make your family's and friends' celebration of Christmas more spiritual and less commercial, more meaningful and less materialistic.  You'll be able to learn about some of the charities (both local and global) that our church outreach supports; make a tax-deductible donation to the charities you choose, to honor a loved one; and receive an attractive card to "gift" that person which tells to which charity you've donated in their name.  Please mark this on your event calendar for December 4th and save your shopping for our fair.  Please bring your checkbook if you would like to record your gift for tax purposes. Cash is always good,.  We cannot accept credit cards.  Please contact Marty Price at cbtsfl@bellsouth.net  with any questions.

In addition to the eight booths for charities listed below, we will also raffle a gorgeous ginger bread house, designed and built by Hubert Forner, and provide delicious refreshments incuding mulled wine, apple cider and baked Christmas specialties.  Please plan now to join us for this memorable Christmas giving opportunity,  See the OUTREACH PHOTO GALLERY for a look at the ginger bread house!

Our OUTREACH charities are:

  • Vince Carter's Embassy of Hope - addresses needs of children and families with support of many programs including after school enrichment programs for children's medical services.
  • Family Renew - provides long-term housing for homeless families with children in Volusia County.
  • Halifax Urban Ministries - responds to provide nutritious meals for hungry, homeless, and low-income people in our area.
  • The Jesus Clinic - provides free health care for families and individuals with jobs, but without medical insurance.  The clinic is located in Daytona Beach and run entirely by volunteers.  All physicians and nurses are licensed and approved through the state of Florida and the Volusia County Health Department.
  • Mali Mission Project: Koutiala Women's and Children's Hospital - provides pediatric training for doctors and nurses while also providing medical care for women and children.  The mortality rate for both is so high in Mali.
  • Operation Caring Through Sharing - is a sponsorship program that provides nutritional assistance monthly directly to families in our community.
  • Pregancy Crisis Center - provides free pregnancy testing, referral and information for housing, medical care, adoption, counseling, clothing and furnishings for baby and mother.
  • Habitat for Humanity - is organized to build housing for worthy families in our area.

Volunteers at each information station will be happy to provide further information about each of our wonderful OUTREACH organizations!
